
Rebuild Collective was founded by De Peter Yi, a
licensed architect, designer, and educator.
He is an Assistant Professor in Architecture at the
University of Cincinnati's College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP), where he also is a co-coordinator for the Simpson Center for Urban Futures.
He is the author of Building Subjects, a book of collectively shaped housing typologies published by Standpunkte. His work has been awarded the SOM Research Prize, the Graham Foundation Grant for Individuals, and the Rice Design Alliance Houston Design Research Grant, and has been published in Log, the Architect’s Newspaper, the LA Times, Bracket, and PLAT.
He has practiced with Studio
Gang Architects, WW Architecture, The Open Workshop, LAMAS, and 1100 Architect.
He has also taught at the University of Michigan, where he was the Walter Sanders Fellow.
