Rebuild Collective was founded by De Peter Yi, a
licensed architect, designer, and educator.
He is an Assistant Professor in Architecture at the
University of Cincinnati's College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP), where he also serves as a co-coordinator for the Simpson Center for Urban Futures.
Before founding Rebuild
Collective, he co-founded and co-led 1+1+ Architects in Detroit, and designed housing, museum, and adaptive reuse projects with Studio
Gang Architects in Chicago. He is the author of Building Subjects, a Graham Foundation-awarded publication on collectively shaped housing typologies. Previously, he taught at the University of Michigan, where he was the 2018-2019 Walter Sanders Fellow.
